Tot School Letter B is for Bear

Monday, July 9, 2018
Grayson is 18 months old.

I was pleasantly surprised with how many activities Grayson was able to do last week, that I was so excited for our second week of Tot School.

This week is all about BEARS, letters A and B, colors- black, brown, and white, shapes- triangle, square, and circle, and numbers 1-6. I know that is a LOT of info for little learners, but this is all just for exposure! The more times they hear and play with these concepts, the better they will understand.

This was a simple color sort with toy bears and various objects that were white, black, and brown.

This was tough to capture on camera, but we went on a bear hunt in a pillow fort 'cave'. Grayson had to find and bring me the letters in the cave!

We normally do Tot School first thing in the morning, so he is sometimes still in his jammies! :) Here he was stomping bear tracks, working on identifying numbers.

We love to use unusual tools for painting, so we used a fork to paint letter B. We added googly eyes to make it into a bear!

Counting teddy bears was our counting activity this week.

This paper plate bear was great to reinforce the colors of the week, and the shapes square and circle.

Feed the bear fish! Each fish had a letter (a/b) or a color. I helped Grayson name each and he put the fish in the bears mouth.

Sensory bins are a favorite over here! You'll see lots of them! This is brown paper shred from the Dollar Tree, toy bears, and letter Bs!
Bear shape throw! He would throw a bear into a shape, and we would name the shape!

As always, if you are interested in my Tot School plans and printables, you can grab them in my TPT store!
