Looking for a super fun theme to kick off summer time?! PIRATES!
This preschool pack is full of math, literacy, and writing centers and activities that will engage your little ones. You can grab these activities in my TPT shop.

Buried Words/Letters- Hide the treasure map under some kinetic sand. Brush away the sand to find the sight words/letters. Trace the letter/word on the recording page. There are 2 versions of this activity. One with letters, and one with sight words.

Sand Writing Tray- Trace each letter in the sand.

Read it, Build it, Write it- Use the letter OR sight word treasure maps. Read each letter/word. Build it with letter beads/tiles, and then write it with dry erase marker.

Digging for Treasure- Find each letter coin in a treasure chest! This cute one is from Melissa and Doug, but you could totally make your own from a baby wipes container! Pull out a letter coin, and trace it on the recording page.

Sunken Treasure Sorting- Hide treasure in a sensory bin of blue water. Scoop out the treasure, and sort it by color.

Shape Treasure- Mark each 2D shape with a gold coin.

Pirate Patterns- Create and extend each pattern with gems.

Pirate Sensory Bin- We love sensory bins, and this one is always a favorite. We used kinetic sand, gems (Amazon), sea shells, and jewels!

Sharks in the Water- Roll a dice. Add that many shark fins (triangle pattern blocks) into the water.

Counting Treasure- Pick a number card. Count that many pieces of treasure onto the mat.

Roll and Add/Roll and Count- There are 2 versions of this game. Roll and Add/ Roll and Count. Roll the dice and then cover that number.

Roll and Read Pirate Flags- This was a simple set up! Draw pirate flags and write letters, sight words, numbers, or shapes in each flag. Roll, read, and dot each flag.

Pirate Ship Name Tracing-  I wrote the letters in my little guy's name in highlighter. He traced each letter in his name.

Excavate the Treasure- Freezing the gems in a cake pan lead to a lot of fun! My little guy used water and pipettes to save the treasure!

We love fizzy ANYTHING. We adding baking soda and vinegar in with our gems. SO FUN! For extra bubbles, add a drop of dish soap to your vinegar!

X Marks the Spot- Make an X with painters tape. Then, paint the entire page. When the paint has dried, remove the painters tape and reveal the X marks the spot!

Have you made pirate themed slime?? We added gold paint to our glue and then followed our favorite slime recipe. We threw in our gems for added fun!
To make our slime we used 1/2 T baking soda, 1 T contact lens solution, and a bottle of glue (squirt in some gold paint)!

My boys begged me to buy these pirate stickers from Michaels. We used them a TON. I wrote a sight word on each flag and popsicle stick. Hayden matched the words to build a pirate flag.

Walk the Plank- This was a favorite. Walk the line and then pick up an alphabet card or sight word card.

Recycled Ships- Use recycled objects to build your own pirate ship.

You can grab all this fun and so much more in my TPT shop! I hope your little ones enjoy this as much as we did!

Here is a fun freebie for you!
