Tot School- Letter F

Saturday, September 15, 2018
Grayson and I focused on letter F this week, and FROGS! Ever since he found a frog in the pool this summer, this little guy has been obsessed!

These activities were a lot of fun. The plans and printables come from my Tot School A-Z Pack, in my TPT shop!

 Tot School

We made a frog from an old yogurt carton. He fed the frog alphabet flies. He can recognize many letters now, but I helped him through this. He loves putting things in/out so this was fun for him.

We have the cutest little frog figures from the Dollar Tree. We worked together to count frogs onto each lily pad.

I used a sponge to cut a frog print. We are focusing on the colors blue, green, and orange this week, so we stamped frog footprints on our long sheet of butcher paper. I would say things like "Can you make a blue print?" or "Look at that green print!".

Sensory bins are our JAM! Especially when it involves water. I cut some foam lily pads, pulled out our frogs from the Dollar Tree, and threw in our bath tub letters. Just like in the frog painting, I would make sure to draw his attention to the letters as we played. Older brother joined in on this one too. He liked to count the frogs and sort them.

Lily pad hop and count. Grayson loves to hop like a frog, so this was super fun. He can (sort of) count, but he doesn't recognize any numbers yet. I just would say the number as he hopped from lily pad to lily pad.

For the shape activity this week, he matched shape frogs to the lily pad with the same shape.

The last activity we worked on this week was a tearing paper letter F craft. Tearing paper is so good for those little finger muscles. However, he was uninterested in the tearing. OBSESSED with the glue!!!!
