This week Grayson (22 months) played with squares! Toddler attention spans are SO SHORT, so I like to plan a lot of activities that are quick to put together.

Grayson loves art, especially painting. We explored square prints by stamping Legos. He doesn't like getting his fingers messy, so he requested a paintbrush about 300 times!!!!
Another square art activity. Bleeding tissue paper art. We love doing this, because it is EASY. Just paint the tissue paper on with water. The colors bleed and blend, and it always turns out so BEAUTIFUL!
Next, square sticker counting. This is great for practicing 1:1 correspondence and counting. He added a square sticker to each square I drew on the page.
Do your kids love to move? This kid never slows down. This was a colorful square hop. I called out a color, and he hopped from square to square.
Lastly, we played with square ice cubes. This ice cube tray is from Ikea! He loved scooping them into bowls and trying to get them back into the ice cube tray as well.
It has been a super rainy week, so these activities have been keeping us sane!
