After reading the story, we plan to work though these activities.
Firefly Counting- You could you play dough balls, fingerprints with ink, or paint to count fireflies.
Day/Night Sort- My son loves to learn about nocturnal animals, so I included a little readers about animals at night, and then will we complete this sort.
Owl Rainbow Write- Pick an owl card. What color is it? Trace the letter with that color marker!
Prewriting Tracing Cards- Laminate and trace with dry erase markers.
Berry Picking- Pick the berries and count them onto the counting mat. You can use buttons, beads, or pom poms.
Owl Subitizing- What number is on each owl? Fly it to the correct numbered tree.
Build a Night Forest- Choose a number tree trunk. Count that many triangles onto the tree.
Mushroom Patch Beginning Sounds- Match each letter to the picture with that sound.
Also included are a few print and go worksheets.

Decorate letter O with stamps or stickers.
