Winter Preschool Pack
Mitten Name Craft- I LOVE name crafts! They are so much fun for preschoolers, and great for scissor skills, gluing, and writing their names.
Rhyming Mittens- Clip each rhyming pair of mittens. This is also great for fine motor practice.
Winter Letters- Trace each letter with loose parts, or play doh.
Winter Sensory Bin- My FAVORITE part of any theme is making a fun sensory bin for my boys! To keep them engaged, they need something to scoop with and something to scoop into! They always amaze me with how they decide to play with these bins! This took my just a few minutes to throw together. I added mini erasers (Target), foam stickers (Michales), snowflake gems (Hobby Lobby), and white beans. The blue beans I dyed blue with acrylic paint!
The scoops were from Hobby Lobby, and the plastic cups were from Dollar Tree! I love how this looks all mixed together!
Snow globe Alphabet Match- Fill each snow globe with the correct letter. We love using the lacing alphabet letters from Learning Resources.
Snowman Counting- Count cotton balls onto each snowman.
Mitten Counting- Count buttons onto each mitten.
Shaving Cream 'Snow' Writing Tray- Trace each letter in a sensory tray of shaving cream! This was a BLAST!
Icy Excavation- Does water play ever get old?!?! We have a LARGE collection of mini erasers, thanks Target! I threw them in our snowflake mold (Joann Fabrics) and froze! I gave the boys colored salt (in Dollar Tree plastic shakers) and warm water! They LOVED playing with this!
Ten Frame Counting Mats (both color and b&w options are included)- Practice counting and number recognition as you count mini erasers, beads, or pom poms onto the ten frames.
Ice Fishing for Letters - Attach a paperclip to each fish card. Pull them out, and read the letter. A recording page is also included!
Winter Syllable Count - Count the syllables in each word.
Read and Throw Snowman- I drew a large snowman on butcher paper and wrote some sight words (you can do letters, shapes, numbers). Hayden threw a beanbag, and read the word it landed on.
Prewriting Lines- Trace each line with dry erase marker.
Invitation to Make a Snowflake- We love making these every year! We glue together popsicle sticks and let them dry! Then we pull out a variety of art supplies to decorate! Easy and fun!!!!
There are SO MANY more activities in this pack!
