Pirate STEAM

Ready for some pirate themed STEAM fun?! I just LOVE science, and so do my boys. There is SO much learning going on when they can investigate and design. We had a blast with my STEAM Pirate Pack, here is a look at what we did!

Pirate STEAM Pack

Treasure Chest Challenge: The boys worked together to build a treasure chest to hold our gems.

First, Hayden drew his design plan.

Then he build his treasure chest.

Then, they worked together to see how many gems the treasure chest could hold.

After they were done counting, we graphed the results by color. SO MUCH FUN AND LEARNING went into this!!

Tinfoil Boat Challenge was next!!

Again, we started by drawing the design. 

 Testing the design (lots of counting)!!!

 Recording results!

 Reevaluating the desgin and making changes. We tried this several times! They loved it!

Sink and Float Challenge

This is always a fun experiment for little learners. 

We predicted, testing, and sorted! 

Dirty Treasure Challenge: Can you clean the pennies?
