 Here are some winter themed literacy centers for your beginning readers. 

January Literacy Centers

Snowman Syllable Count- Count and sort the number of syllables in each word.

Cocoa Word Family Sort- Sort each picture by word family.

Ending Sound Sort- Sort each picture by ending sound.

Segment and Blend- Segment each sound. Blend to read the word.

CVC Missing Letters- Write in the missing sound in each CVC word.
