February Literacy Centers are perfect for your beginning readers to practice phonemic awareness and phonics skills.

CVC Heart Puzzles- Read each word and match it to the correct picture.

Onset and Rime Sliders- Slide the beginning sounds to read and blend each CVC word.

CVC Mail- There are several ways to play. You can have your child write the letters for each CVC word with dry erase maker. OR roll 3 play dough balls. Say each sound in each CVC word as you smash the play dough balls. 

Middle Sound 4 in a Row- This game is for two players. Each player needs a different color of counter. Spin the spinner and cover a picture with that middle sound. The first player to get 4 in a row, wins.

Superhero Substitutions- Read each CVC word. Spin the spinner. Substitute the beginning sound. Read the new word.
