Pirate Preschool Math- Numbers 0-10

This math preschool activity pack focuses on numbers 0-10 with a fun, pirate theme! Use these activities in circle time, small groups, centers, and/or for independent practice.

Pirate Preschool Math- Numbers 0-10

Whole Group/ Circle Time- Discuss numbers 0-10 and make a number line as a class. Then count the gold ten frames and place them under the correct number. You can even count gold coins to place under each number, as well. 

Small Groups/ Center Time- Give students the opportunity to practice identifying numbers and 1:1 correspondence by counting flags (clothespins) onto each pirate ship. 

Small Groups/ Center Time- Pick a treasure chest counting card. Count the gems and write the correct number with dry erase marker. Then, build the number in the ten frame. 

Center Time/ Independent Practice- Roll a ten sided dice and count shark's teeth (triangle pattern blocks) into the mouth of the shark. Then, write the number with dry erase marker. 

Center Time/ Independent Practice- Cover the counting page with sand. Use a paintbrush to uncover each picture. Count the pirate hooks in each picture. Trace the number on the recording page.
