Comparing Numbers Preschool and Kindergarten Math- Polar Animals 

This math preschool activity pack focuses on polar animals with a fun, polar animal theme! Use these activities in circle time, small groups, centers, and/or for independent practice.

Polar Animals Preschool Math- Comparing Numbers

Whole Group/ Circle Time- Discuss MORE and LESS. Roll two dice and build towers to represent each number. Discuss which is MORE and which is LESS.

Small Groups/ Center Time- Pick a polar bear counting card. Count the fish pictured. Then, count MORE fish onto the playing mat. Write the number.

Small Groups/ Center Time- This is a 2 player game. Each player flips a penguin counting card. The player with the card that shows  MORE, keeps both cards. 

Center Time/ Independent Practice- Count snowflakes (pom poms, white dot stickers) onto each column. Compare numbers.

Center Time/ Independent Practice- Roll 2 dice. Count that many objects onto the playing mat. Compare numbers.
