Valentine Kindergarten Math and Literacy Centers 

Build a 2D Shape- Use play dough balls and pipe cleaners to build each 2D shape. Count the sides and vertices of each shape.

Find and Color Ending Sounds- Pick a picture card, identify the ending sound, color the letter on the recording page. This could be used in a sensory bin, or a hunt the room activity.

Count, Build, Cover- Pick a heart counting card. Count the hearts. Cover the correct number. Build the number in the ten frame. There are 2 options included: numbers 1-10 or 11-20.

Candy Heart Subtraction- Use counters or the pictures to help complete each subtraction problem. There are 2 versions included: subtracting from 10 and subtracting from 5.

Lace It Addition- Lace beads onto pipe cleaners to solve each addition problem. There are 2 versions included: addition to 5 or addition to 10.

Digraph Clip- Read each word. Clip the correct picture to each word.

CVC Simple Sentences- Read each simple sentence. Complete the puzzle by matching the sentence to the correct picture.

Count and Build Mats- Identify each number. Build each number with base ten blocks. Match the correct ten frame. Numbers 1-20 are included.

Medial Sound Link- Use linking shapes to link each picture by middle sound.

Feed Me CVC Words- Read and feed each CVC word. Color the correct picture on the recording page. There are 2 versions included: mailing CVC words and out of this world CVC words.
