Watercolor Salt Snowflakes

Friday, December 22, 2017

Glue! My son LOVES using GLUE! These salt-snowflakes were right up his alley. Bonus- following the lines were great for pre-writing skills and using those hand muscles. We first tried to do this freehand, and we ended up making glue blobs, so then I whipped up a printable. MUCH easier! You can grab the free printable at the bottom of this post!
First, outline the snowflake in glue.

Then, pour salt over the glue. Shake off all the extra, and let it dry.

Once it is dry, use liquid watercolors, or food coloring mixed with water to paint the salt.

This turned out beautiful, and we had a lot of fun creating these! Here is a free snowflake template to use! Enjoy! Download here!
