Space Preschool Theme

Space is such a fun theme for little learners! These centers and activities come from my Space Preschool Pack in my TPT shop!

Oreo Moons- Discuss moon phases with this fun Oreo activity!

Roll & Cover - Practice subitizing with this fun, spaced themed, roll and cover game.

Moon Rock Toss- Throw a moon rock and identify the shape it landed on.

Catch a Star- Use a magnetic wand to catch a star and mark it on the recording page.

Space Writing- Trace and write each letter with dry erase marker.

Space Sounds- Pull a card, identify the beginning sound, and trace the beginning sound on the recording page.

Subitizing Memory- Flip over 2 cards. If the numbers are the same, keep them.

No Prep Pages- There are also 10 no prep pages included!

CVC Rocket- Pick a moon card and spell the word.

Planet Order Craft-  Color and order the planets in the solar system.

Robot Color Match- Add beads to each robot.

Asteroid Measurement - Measure how far the asteroid is from each planet using cubes.

Space Counting Mats- Trace each number with dry erase markers. Add that many starts/planets to the night sky.

Rocket Launch - Pick a number card. Launch the rocket to that number.

Glow Stick Reading - We used glow sticks to practice sight words. SO FUN.

Fizzy Stars- Have you ever painted with Kool-Aid before? We mixed it with water and painted our star. Then, we sprinkled baking soda on top. It smelled AMAZING and we loved the fizzy reaction.

Watercolor Solar System- We painted several pages of various colors. When it was dry we used our hole punch to punch out circles. We used a resource book to look at the planets, and then we decided which circle resembled each planet.

Constellation Words- We used a jumbo push pin to poke sight words. Then we placed it on our light table! So fun to see our words light up!!!

Do you love the book, How to Catch a Star? It is one of our FAVORITES! We threw in a blue bath drop and glow in the dark planets/stars for this super fun sensory bin!!!

Space Sensory Bin- This sensory bin has black beans as a base and tons of space themed mini erasers from Target! My boys loved exploring with this bin!
