The Very Impatient Caterpillar Preschool Book Companion

Spring time is such a fun time to talk about caterpillars and butterflies! These activities go along with the book, The Very Impatient Caterpillar.

This pack is filled with hands on activities! There are colorful centers, as well as print and play activities.

Caterpillar Count- Use a q-tip and paint to count and dab each circle.

Count and Dot- Count and dot each caterpillar with dot markers or dot stickers.

Decorate a Butterfly- Count and decorate each butterfly with gems, stickers, or pom poms.

Stamp a Letter- Use alphabet stamps to stamp each letter.

Stick a Sound- Use dot stickers (write a letter on each sticker) and stick it on a picture with that beginning sound.

Syllable Smash- Count and smash play dough balls on each caterpillar.

Build a Butterfly- Pick a butterfly counting card. Count pom poms on the butterfly counting mat.

Color Sort- Use tongs or tweezers to sort pom poms on each color of caterpillar.

Alphabet Caterpillar- Build each letter caterpillar.

Butterfly Rhymes- Complete each puzzle by matching words that rhyme.
