Do your students LOVE learning about bugs and insects? This circle time unit has songs/rhymes, questions of the day, movement sticks, and mini lessons to make sure your insect unit of study is TONS of fun! 

Insect Preschool Circle Time 

Insect Mini Lessons- Each mini lesson comes with a book recommendation and activity to use after the read aloud.

Ladybug Count- After the read aloud, complete an "I Have, Who Has" counting game. Then, paint and count spots on each ladybug.

Insect Attributes- Learn the attributes of an insect. Use the pictures provided to go over the parts of an insect. Then, create your own insect!

Insect Sort - After a read aloud, review attributes of an insect. Sort the picture cards in the correct category.

Name an Insect - Use picture cards and toy figures to name each insect.

There are five rhymes to practice skills like shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and rhyming. 

Bee Hive Shapes- Say the rhyme and practice identifying shapes.

Color Grasshoppers- Say the rhyme and practice identifying colors.

Question of the Day- There are 5, insect themed, questions of the day!
