Penguin and Pinecone Preschool Book Companion
Are you looking for an adorable winter story to use with your preschool class? I absolutely LOVE Penguin and Pinecone. These centers and activities go along perfectly with the story.
Penguin and Pinecone
Here is a look inside the pack. There are 5 colored centers, 5 print and play activities, and 3 pages to practice letter P.
Build a Shape- Use nature loose parts to build each shape.
Tree Sounds- Help each tree stay warm by matching a hat or scarf to a tree with that beginning sound.
Penguin Mazes- Follow each tracing path with a dry erase marker.
Alphabet Forest- Match letters to the trees in the forest.
Counting Pinecones- Pick a number card and count pinecones onto the playing mat.
Penguin Count- Count the penguins in each picture. Then, write the correct number, or place a number sticker to represent the number of penguins.
Race and Color- Race around the game board. Say each number and color a penguin with the same number.
Spin and Color- Spin the spinner and color that many pinecones.
Spin, Trace, and Write- Spin the spinner, trace the letter, then write the letter.
Penguin Letters- Use alphabet stamps to stamp the correct letter in each penguin.
