Tuesday, February 20, 2024

Here is a little sneak inside Grow a Reader, Unit 5.

Each week 4 new sight words are introduced, as well as a word family. There are also activities for rhyming, syllables, fluency, and beginning sounds.

For Unit 4, the sight words are:
-come
-in
-to
-jump

The word family focus is the -op word family.

In each unit, there are three games to help learn and review the sight words.

-op Word Family Spell- Use letter beads to spell each word.

Beginning Sounds- For this activity, name the beginning sound for each picture. Open the bug catcher to check!

CVC Words- Use the ice cream scoops to spell each CVC word.

Sight Words- Use the magic wand to read each sight word.

Rhyming- Place rhyming bingo to practice rhyming words.

Sight Words- Build each sight word with letter beads. String the letters onto pipe cleaners.

Sight Words- Roll the provided dice, read the sight word, and cover the word on the playing mat.

All these activities and more come from my Grow a Reader Bundle! It is found in my TPT shop!
