 Summer Subtraction Games for Kindergarten

These summer subtraction games are LOW PREP (only one page) and engaging! Grab your favorite themed manipulatives and PLAY. Each game also comes with a recording page. 

Summer Subtraction Games 

Lemonade Subtraction- Place counters on the 10 ice cubes. Spin the spinner, and remove that many counters. Write the subtraction problem.

Beach Races- This is a two player game. Each player takes a turn by rolling a dice and covering a problem with that answer. The first player to get 4 in a row, wins.

Sprinkle Subtraction- Place two playing cards on the mat. Count straws (sprinkles) to represent the first number. Then remove the second number. Write the subtraction problem.

Snow Cone Subtraction- Place 10 pom poms on the snow cones. Flip over a playing card and remove that many pom poms. Complete the subtraction problem.

Cookout Subtraction- Spin the spinner. Cross off that many dots on the ten frame. Write the subtraction problem.

Bubble Smash Subtraction- Place 10 play dough balls on the bubbles. Roll and dice and smash that many balls. Complete the subtraction problem.

Seashell Subtraction- Place a domino on the game board. Count the dots on the left and place that many seashells on the game board. Then count the dots on the right and remove that many shells. Write the subtraction problem.
