Birthday preschool circle time has 5 mini lessons to go along with a read aloud, 5 -songs/chants to practice skills, and questions of the day.

Counting Candles-  Say the chant as a class. Count the candles on each cake and match it to the correct number. 

Birthday Sounds- Say the chant as a class. Find a picture with the correct beginning sound. Match it to the correct present. 

Party Letters- Say the chant as a class. Pick a letter and name it. 

Missing Cake- Place the numbers in a pocket chart. Hide the cake. Guess which number it is hiding behind. 

Question of the Day- There are 5,  birthday themed, questions of the day to use during circle time.

Birthday Invitations-  Deliver the birthday invitation to the correct animal by solving the riddle.

Birthday Box- Use a magnetic wand to grab a letter card or beginning sound card out of the birthday box. Trace the correct letter on the recording page. 

Counting Balloons- Pick a number card and count the balloons on the playing mat.
