Raindrop Beginning Sounds- Cover each beginning sound with a raindrop (gem).
Rhyming Raindrops- Match the raindrops to the cloud that rhymes. Use linking shapes or pieces of pipe cleaner to attach the raindrops.
Cloud Play Dough Stamping- Use blue play dough and roll a ball onto the cloud. Stamp the letter with stamps or letter beads.
Comparing Number Drops- Count raindrops (buttons) under each cloud. Compare the numbers.
Little Cloud Craft- Practice glue control and using just a dot, to make a cloud.
Cloudy Numbers- Find each number in the sensory tray. Trace the number on the recording page.
Rainy Day Sticky Wall- Contact paper is such a fun way to make activities more engaging. Foam is super fun to use with contact paper, because it can easily peel on and off. I drew a few clouds and wrote a letter on each one. Then I added stickers to foam raindrops. Grayson matched each sticker to the cloud that had that beginning sound. This can be easily adapted for whatever skill your child is working on!
Build a Letter Cloud- Use cotton balls and glue to build a letter cloud.
Play Dough Letters- Pick an umbrella letter card. Build the letter with play dough.
Counting Raindrops- Use finger paint, ink, or dot markers to count raindrops below each cloud.
Weather Patterns- Use loose parts to create and extend each pattern.
Sight Words in the Clouds- Find each word and match it to the recording page.
Roll and Cover- Roll a dice and cover that number.
Letters in the Clouds- Draw each letter in the clouds (shaving cream).
Rain Cloud Name Craft- Write each child's name on the cloud. Have your student write one letter from their name on each raindrop. Cut and glue to spell the name.
