Nocturnal Animals Preschool Circle Time
Nocturnal animals preschool circle time has 5 mini lessons to go along with a read aloud, 5 -songs/chants to practice skills, wiggle sticks, and questions of the day.
Feed the Raccoon- Say the chant as a class. Take turns picking a letter, saying the letter, and feeding it to the raccoon.
Shape Fox- Say the chant as a class. Pick a shape fox. Say the shape.
Bedtime for Owl- Hide the owl behind a number. Guess which number the owl is hiding behind. Numbers 1-20 are included.
Question of the Day- There are 5, nocturnal animals themed, questions of the day to use during circle time.
Night Animal Counting - Count the eyes in each cave. Match it to the correct number. Then, have students count googly eyes onto each night sky.
Nocturnal Animal Hunt- After reading Flashlight, go on a hunt around the classroom for nocturnal animals.
Counting Owls- Pick and owl counting card and count the owls. Build that number on a ten frame. Then, roll and dot 'owls' onto the tree.
