Pond Preschool Circle Time
Pond preschool circle time has 5 mini lessons to go along with a read aloud, 5 -songs/chants to practice skills, wiggle sticks, and questions of the day.
Find the Baby Duck- Hide the baby duck behind a number. Say the chant as a class, and guess the number the duckling is hiding behind.
Counting Frogs- Say the chant as a class. Pick a frog counting card. Count the frogs on each log.
Colorful Fish- Say the rhyme as a class. Give each child a color fish. If they are holding the color that you say in the rhyme, have the child 'swim' past you!
Question of the Day- There are 5, pond themed, questions of the day to use during circle time.
Pond Counting - Count pond counters onto each lily pad. Then, roll and dot objects into the pond.
Feed the Frog- After reading The Big Wide Mouthed Frog practice letter recognition by saying each letter and feeding it to the frog.
Big Bad Fish- Play this fun alphabet recognition game, but beware of the big bad fish!!!
